Advertising, Endorsement & SEO Disclosures

Effective date: July 26, 2026

Template notice. This is a drafting template, not legal advice, and has not been reviewed by counsel. Advertising, endorsement, and search-engine rules change and vary by country. Have qualified counsel review it and confirm the current FTC guidance and search-engine policies before you rely on it.

SociallyBid connects Businesses and Creators for paid and incentivized collaborations, endorsements, content, and link placements. These activities are regulated. This document sets out the disclosure and compliance duties that apply to Users and makes clear where responsibility sits. It is part of, and incorporated into, the Terms of Service.

1. You are responsible for lawful, disclosed advertising

  • Material connections must be disclosed. Where there is a paid, gifted, or otherwise incentivized relationship behind an endorsement or content (including anything arranged through SociallyBid), the person publishing it must clearly and conspicuously disclose that connection to the audience, consistent with applicable advertising and consumer-protection law (in the United States, the FTC Endorsement Guides, and equivalent rules elsewhere).
  • Clear and conspicuous means the disclosure is hard to miss and easy to understand — for example, "#ad", "#sponsored", or a plain-language statement placed where viewers will actually see it, not buried in a caption, hidden behind "more", or mixed into unrelated tags.
  • Honesty. Endorsements must reflect honest opinions and actual experience. Do not misrepresent yourself, your audience, your metrics, or a product. Fake reviews, fabricated testimonials, and purchased or bot engagement are prohibited (see the Acceptable Use Policy).
  • Businesses are responsible for the claims they ask Creators to make and must not direct Creators to make false, misleading, or unsubstantiated claims or to omit required disclosures.

2. Paid links and SEO

  • Search engines restrict paid links. Major search engines (including Google) treat links that are exchanged for payment or other consideration as requiring a qualifying attribute. Links created through a paid or incentivized arrangement should be marked with rel="sponsored" (or rel="nofollow") so they do not pass ranking signals, in line with the search engine’s current guidelines.
  • Publisher responsibility. The User who places a link or publishes an article (the "publisher") is responsible for applying the correct link attributes and disclosures and for complying with the policies of the search engines and platforms involved. Businesses requesting placements are responsible for not requesting placements that violate those policies.
  • No ranking, traffic, or outcome guarantee. SociallyBid does not guarantee search rankings, indexing, traffic, backlinks’ effect, domain authority, or any SEO or marketing outcome. Search engines may take action (including ranking adjustments or penalties) against sites that violate their guidelines, and that risk and responsibility rests with the Users, not SociallyBid.

3. AI-assisted content

Where AI assists in drafting content, articles, or links, the User remains fully responsible for the final published output, including its accuracy, originality, disclosure, and compliance. See Section 6 of the Terms of Service.

4. Platform-specific rules

You must also comply with the rules of every third-party platform where content is published (for example, a social network’s branded-content policies, or a website’s own terms). Nothing SociallyBid provides overrides those rules.

5. Enforcement

Violations of these disclosure and compliance duties are violations of the Terms and may result in content removal, suspension, or termination. SociallyBid is not responsible for a User’s failure to make required disclosures or to comply with advertising or search-engine rules, and you agree to indemnify us for claims arising from your non-compliance (see Section 12 of the Terms).
